Mixed-Use properties are real estate assets where more than one of the traditional asset classes is present in a single asset. For example, picture a midrise in downtown with street level retail, office above, and then apartments above that. That building is a mixed-use building. Due to the variety of different asst classes present in a single asset, capital sources that would traditionally finance any one of the subcomponents of the property.
